OutThink Uncertainty

Bhaja Govindam is written by one of the greatest protectors and Gurus of Sanatan Dharma, Shri Adi Shankaracharya. Shankara emphasises that as long as we have Govinda as our highest vision/goal, all these material things which are filled with uncertainties can never affect us. As humans, change and uncertainty are things that cause us fear and anxiety and so He makes us enquire into the irony of seeking permanent happiness from impermanent things. The ultimate pointer is that once Govinda is sought, all becomes One and the impermanence and uncertainties of life can never disturb us.

“Seek Govinda!
These words had more impact on me than I can express. During the 2017 Global CHYK camp at CIRS, over 110 CHYKS learned to seek Govinda and outthink uncertainty. As Pujya Swami Swaroopanandaji said the only certain thing is uncertainty. Outthinking it is such an amazing feeling, and through Adi Shankaracharya’s Bhaja Govindam we learned to challenge ourselves in the unknown and go through it with smiles!
I cannot describe the awesomeness of Pujya Swamiji, Swami Anukoolanandaji, Swamini Supriyanandaji, and Br. Sanatanji in enough words. They made every moment of camp so beautiful. At camp we were thrown into many unexpected and challenging scenarios. They were so fun and joyous though because they made us realize that we are more capable than we know of. I was amazed at myself and how much I could do without even knowing it before. Camp unlocked my inner potential, and I feel tremendous gratitude towards our Gurus who guided us.
That one week at CIRS was just the beginning. Afterwards thirty of us went to Sri Lanka. Traveling around the paradise and taking in many beautiful sights was just too great.
If you want two weeks of bliss, come to GCC!”

“The OutThink Uncertainty Global CHYK camp was a beautiful learning experience. The lectures by Pujya Swami Swaroopanandaji on the text, Bhaja Govindam, exercised our intellects to think and question the various aspect of our lives which we often stress upon. The brilliantly planned, fun-filled activities and group discussion  by Swamini Supriyanandaji, Swami Anukoolanandaji and Br. Sanatanji gave us a different perspective on how simple our lives are as if they’re not restricted by our own limitations- some made you laugh uninhibitedly like a child, whilst some were deeply reflective. The ‘mounam’ (silence) time gave us a much needed opportunity to prioritise ourselves and introspect about things that get drowned out by our own preoccupations and commitments . The evening satsangs gave such pleasure which no other rock concert can account to. In just a span of 7 days an entire group of about 120 odd strangers from different parts of the world become a family, which became very difficult to say good-bye.  And last but not the least, the food served at the camp can compete with any five star hotel. Global CHYK camp for me is the perfect way to end an interesting year and start an amazing one… it is that experience which you cannot ever get over until you come and attend the next Global CHYK camp.”
